About Us
Castle Fire Services Ltd is a family run business based in Dudley, providing fire protection services on a national scale.
Customer service is at the centre of our core values - we strive to offer exceptional service, by ensuring our customers are fully protected at an affordable cost.
Whilst serving our customers, we simultaneously do what we can to give back to the community. Over the years we have given back portions of our profits to charities such as Acorns Hospice, donated a portion of profits to Dudley Zoological Gardens after Storm Goretti damaged animal enclosures and habitats, and also donated our services to Brookswood Animal Sanctuary following damage caused by the very same storm. We also proudly support the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. We always actively search for ways to give back to the community that we work in.
Our services range from servicing of fire extinguishers, fire alarms and emergency lighting, all the way through to full installations.
Take a look below at our services to see more detail on what we offer.

Fire Extinguisher Servicing
We provide a complete service package tailored for your business’s needs — from annual routine servicing to full overhaul and replacement support:
Detailed inspection and servicing: We check every portable fire extinguisher on your premises for correct type, mounting, accessibility, pressure gauge, tamper-seal integrity, corrosion, label legibility, hose/nozzle condition and overall functionality.
Annual servicing: Carried out at least every 12 months by a qualified technician, in strict accordance with BS 5306-3.
Extended / overhaul servicing: For many extinguisher types, an extended service or overhaul is required every 5 years (for water, foam, powder units) or every 10 years (for CO₂ cylinders) to verify cylinder integrity, pressure testing and full internal inspection.
Positioning & suitability review: We assess whether you have the correct extinguisher types and capacities for your risks (such as water/foam for Class A, CO₂ for electrical risks, wet-chemical for kitchens). We check that travel distances, signage and mounting meet BS 5306-8 guidelines.
Log-book and certificate provision: Every visit results in a service label applied to each unit, a detailed certificate of service, full records in your fire safety logbook and clear next-due date for inspection — helping you demonstrate compliance.
Consultation & replacement advice: If any faults, damage or age-related issues are discovered, we’ll advise replacement (or upgrade) of extinguishers, ensuring minimal disruption and cost.Flexibility & business continuity: We tailor our service visits around your business hours to reduce disruption and ensure your fire-fighting equipment is ready when you need it.

Our experienced fire safety assessors follow a detailed and structured process in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, PAS 79-2:2020 and BS 9999:2017 (Fire Safety in the Design, Management and Use of Buildings):
Identify Fire Hazards
We examine your premises to locate potential ignition sources, fuel loads, and oxygen supplies — identifying where and how fires could start and spread.
Identify People at Risk
We consider employees, visitors, residents, contractors, and anyone who may be particularly vulnerable, such as people with reduced mobility or sleeping occupants.
Evaluate, Remove, and Reduce Risks
We assess the likelihood and potential impact of fire, identifying improvements to reduce risk — including fire detection, emergency lighting, signage, escape routes, and extinguisher coverage.
Record, Plan, and Train
A full written Fire Risk Assessment report is provided, outlining findings, photographs, and prioritised recommendations.
We can also help create or update your Fire Emergency Plan and provide staff training where required.
Review and Update Regularly
Fire Risk Assessments must be reviewed:
